Think raw, arid, vibrant Rajasthan...think sun, sand and earth, think bold color, think tough terrain of erstwhile Maarwar, think passionate love and passionate war….all of this inspires Brand Maarwan, which derives its name and spirit from legend and folklore of the desert and stands tall in the handcrafted, sustainable fashion space.
We got the pleasure to shoot with Ms. Priyanka Singh, the brand promoter, and since the brand ethos is all about comfort fits, it fits right up our alley. Our co-founder, Ishita, was one of the faces for the shoot.
The brand is promoted by Priyanka Singh who hails from Jodhpur and Jaipur….and it is her heritage that inspires Maarwan…a collection of quality oriented, free flowing separates for women. The silhouette is Indian and fusion, the cut and style contemporary, the print classic and mostly naturally dyed….this, combined with easy to wear fabrics like linen, mal, khadi and other fine cottons make for feel-good comfort, lounge and work wear. The product line includes anti fit tops, tunics, kurtas, bottomwear, dupattas and stoles.
